Also mentioned is a system or initiative
called iPHIS which I wonder if anyone is aware of.
iPHIS (beyond apparent lesbian meanings) seems to stand for
Integrated Public Health Information System (iPHIS)
The links that I found pertain to efforts in a variety of places
in Canada and the US to implement "an iPHIS" so it may or
may not lead to much standardization. Not sure if there's a Centres
for Disease Control component to it.
