Let me just say that I believe Firefox can be installed on Mac OSX: 
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/all.html

Might be a good alternative. khttp (the backend inside konqueror and 
safari) is pretty good but not as perfect as gecko 
(mozilla/firefox/camino). Actually you might like Camino. I think it is 
built to look like just like a typical Apple app but with the Gecko 
backend. Of course nothing is as bad as internet explorer for standards 
compliance and stuff like that.
