If I wanted to replace one name with another, for all the files in a
directory, how do I do it??
There are different ways but prehaps the easy to understand might be:

   $ ls *<oldname>* > rename_script
   $ sed --in-place "s/^\(.*\)<oldname>\(.*\)/mv & \1<newname>\2/" rename_script
   $ chmod 755 rename_script

Just have a look into rename_script before you execute it whether I was right
that now all files will be renamed nicely.

Kind regards

        Andreas.
