[Gnumed-devel] ssh-keygen question

What actually happens when one generates a keygen?

Can one take a key generated on one machine and copy it to same named files in 
the .ssh directory on another machine and then access the cvs?

Reason I'm asking is that for some reason the key I generated on my ARCH linux 
box didn't come out in the same format as is expected, though I used exactly 
the same terminology.
