I'm most encouraged by this as I can see both some progress, and also that the
components should be re-usable in other screen designs!

Just a quick email with a couple of questions.

Can you explain to me how this is meant to function - ie a blow by blow
ie a) run the file xyz.py
   b) What should appear is: (do me a png)
   c) The concept is you then press the button x
   d) When you do this bla bal should happen.

What I did:

Downloaded latest CVS, dropped and rebuild the database using redopublic.sh

If I run the gmSOAP.py from wxpython dir I get in sequence the three png's
shown below (somewhat visually hashed).

Running multisash.soap.

1)Double cliking on extraterrestial brings up a new problem box - (sometimes -
usually dosn't respond after the first new episode creation). How come - a
button on the button the other side should be linked to new problem

2) What is the rational of the drop down combo allowing user to select S or O,
or A or P, when the outcome is bringing up a new soap editor?

3)Open multiple problems, now close one. all the buttons are grayed out and
one can no-longer close another or save.(unless of course one circles the
little red bit and closes with this which is non-intuitive)

There are many other things not working, including see above thet data not
being saved to the database on my machine (see above trace). Is there a log
file I can send you? Where?

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "gmSoapPlugins.py", line 359, in __on_save
    narr = editor_content[input_label]['data']
AttributeError: cSTCval instance has no attribute '__getitem__'

CVS used was today at 10amAU EST (GMT+10)

Lastly, and I know you all get really sick of this, why persist with a screen
design which will not be user friendly or functional in a proper design. From
my observation of the what your gui attempts to do, it should be a simple
matter of switching the events over to another screen design such as the one
I've posted. That way you can make up the central progress notes panel
properly now.

I'm email again when more time, and after your feedback comments.

Regards

Richard
