I guess he means the PowerPoint like tool of OpenOffice (Impress). I recently
switched to LaTeX Beamer (http://latex-beamer.sourceforge.net/ - if you
are using Debian "apt-get install latex-beamer") which has the following
advantages:
- concentrate on content (not layout)
- have a perfectly typsetted result
- output is PDF and can be viewed on ANY computer with a PDF viewer
