There is yet another option on what software to use for installation
routines.
BitRock is a non free package but offers several advantages.
It has a consistent look and feel on Windows, MacOSX and Linux.
On Linux you can have a GTK2 or X11 interface.
It offers both GUI and commandline modes where applicable.
It offers a GUI for building installers on all platforms mentioned.
The give out full licenses of their product for OpenSource projects because
they supposedly are contributors themselves.
Let's hear what you think.
I don't know of any non commercial packages that supports what BitRock
supports but maybe you do.
