I have some info on the flexifile3 format FPT. Its a pretty simple
format , it just holds blocks of data, you stiil need the DBF file which
has the offset and the size of data. I have written a small program in
python which will look at the documents in medical director and extract
the documents from the flexifile and then unzip them and display them on
screen. (I actually spent a day trying to work out how they encripted
the zip filed for BMP pictures until I worked out that when I saved the
ZIP fill from the flexifile database I wasnt doing a binary save and as
it was windows, it was inserting linefeeds). It wont do other documents,
ie Word etc or JPG, although JPG would be easy, I have no Idea how to do
Word documents from python.
I dont really have any idea where to upload it to, but I am happy to
email it to anyone who wants to review badly written , poorly
constructed python.
