Yes , really nice. Please check out gnumed from CVS (see attached script) and
try to run it with gm-from-cvs.sh

to see if local installation and app bundle show a difference in behavior

Yes. It connects to our public database at salaam.homeunix.com

I really recommend setting up a local database which is pretty easy on Macs.
Just run the bootstrap latest script and off you go. It has been verified to 
work just yesterday.

It cannot (?) and I am planning on replacing this with a more cross platform 
product. Chandler (wxpython, chandlerproject.org) might fit in but right now 
no steps have been taken to evaluate this.
