I know where the /Users/curtis comes from. Since I myself don't have a Mac I 
am forced to build the app on someone else's machine. The user on that mahine 
is curtis.

I will check that to see if anything can be done about it.

If you have a minute. Is it possible to quickly test the same app on the 
PowerPC machine as I suspect the differences in GUI originating from there.

If you don't mind please grab chandler from chandlerproject.org (calender 
application in wxpyhton) and check for similar visual problems.
