I suggest downloading a released package, namely:
http://www.gnumed.de/downloads/server/GNUmed-server.latest.tgz
and rerun bootstrap-latest.sh from that package.
The version you tried isn't finished yet and has more bugs
than the one you found. Thanks for reporting it, anyway.
