On a related note, the gnumed packages from sebastian still contain an sed call which adds the -conf-file option to the desktop file, at least it was the case last time i checked. So this is also not correct, as that conf-file is also not writable? It only has 755 permissions. sed -i -e 'address@hidden/usr/bin/address@hidden/usr/bin/gnumed --conf-file=/etc/%{name}/%{name}-client.conf@' client/%{name}-client.desktop Regards Florian Hubold
