I noted the date of that request was 2003, but perhaps thinking among  
tasksel maintainers has made no progress.

Ah, I had never stumbled across it. Screenshot below. Presently,  
within Synaptic, the package information is limited to:
        Debian Med tasks for tasksel
        This package provides Debian Med tasks for tasksel

Since Google helps only with difficulty, would you accept a  
suggestion to add two lines (below)? And would you desire the  
suggestion posted anywhere, to assist its getting tracked?
