[Gnumed-devel] Re: Mirth channels and HL7 import for the GNUmed project

Subject: [Gnumed-devel] Re: Mirth channels and HL7 import for the GNUmed project - test source message

Hi James,

So far I have done the following:

1) Successfully built and run Mirth from source
2) Successfully setup and run GNUMed with the v10 database
3) Added the 2 supplied channels to the mirth interface
4) Successfully sent and imported the supplied HL7 message to the GNUMed database using the mirth channels

From here I plan to analyse more thoroughly the code for the Mirth Channels and offer an opinion as to the maintainability and elegance of the solution.

Is this what you had in mind?

Regards,
David.

and also inserted into

a BC-style (though invalid) personal health number "9012345678":

       PID||9012345678||| BC_BROKER^BPATIENT||19430102|F|||||604-658-2107

as mentioned in my last email, the GNUmed test patients against which some of this data is intended to be able to be importable are at

               /server/sql/test-data/BC-Excelleris-test_patients.sql

PS the channel code (alpha-beta) sent to me by Mirth seemed to have actual test data in it... I am not sure why that should have been *in* a channel but maybe it was only "alongside", for convenience
