[Gnumed-devel] data executable / execution (?)

I was listening to a feature (Security Now podcast @ approx 54:20) about Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) as well as Data Execution Prevention (DEP)

Windows is only now working to implement these in Vista however they are having to make exception for various softwares. In 64 bit Windows however, I understand that these modes are non-optional and certain software that does not respect the above will simply not run.

Does GNUmed is its dependencies have any requirement for data to be executable and, if so, would its future dependability depend on things like the implementation of an "image base" (??) or virtualized allocation?
