My setup is:

Ubuntu 8.04
KDE 3.5.9
Python 2.5.2
Python-wxgtk 2.8
Postgres 8.3.3

gnumed client 0.3.2
gnumed database_v10

After a little config file editing, then starting up gnumed produces the
error message below, but still allows the gnumed client to run from the
local database :-)

-----------------start error message------------------------------
GNUmed database version mismatch.

This database version cannot be used with this client:

 client version: CVS HEAD
database version detected: unknown database schema version, MD5 hash is
[115fb9b86532a8295a07c5eea62f22cf]
 database version needed: devel

Currently connected to database:

 host: localhost
 database: gnumed_v10
 user: any-doc
version
The client will, however, continue to start up because
you are running a development/test version of GNUmed.

There may be schema related errors. Please report and/or
fix them. Do not rely on this database to work properly
in all cases !
-----------------end error message----------------------------------

So far, I have been able to enter myself as a staff member (doctor/ GP),
and log in with my own username and password (after re-starting gnumed
client).

I am checking out the functionality of the gnumed-database version as
mentioned above, and will comment in later posts.

Well done.
