For anyone who would be trying out the 0.3 .2 version of the client, here are somethings that may be good to know:

There may be a problem changing the language, this is a known-about item which will be looked into.

When creating a new patient, after entering the occupation, it will not be possible to review or alter the occupation from inside the patient details plug-in since occupation of, after creation, is presently handled under the EMR menu "history taking".

When creating progress notes, it is not presently possible to create a second new complaint (which the program orthodoxy requires to be made inside a new episode) until after you had saved the one on which you were already working, unless you would first change the setting which is GNUmed > options > user interface > progress notes handling > multiple new episodes.

The existence of the current encounter may only become apparent in the EMR tree upon saving at least one tab within a progress note (i.e. one "notelet"), even though its existence may already be shown in the EMR Journal.

When the EMR tree shows encounter-level detail, it can be normal for any encounter to re-appear under multiple episodes, if in that encounter more than one episode of illness was managed.

When working in the EMR tree, past history items (or the creation of health issues under which to move one or more episodes) is most easily done using a right mouse click either on the base of the tree (the top left triangle) or over an item that is only one level down i.e. at the level of health issues, if any already exist. The alternative is to use the menu EMR > history taking > past history.

Encounter details (type of encounter, also reasons for the visit overall, and summary assessment of the visit overall) are presently not easily editable except after saving at least one progress notelet *and* shifting into the EMR tree and then right-clicking one of the appearances of the encounter to edit its details. Presently, if you do not do this, you may not get prompted to do so until after you have decided to search for some other patient. This flow is also going to be re-examined.

When wanting to search for a patient when a current patient is already in view, click in the white space to the right of the patient's name to highlight, and more easily type over, the existing patient name. Otherwise, if you click within an existing name, the cursor will change to an insertion point, and you will either need to select all this text or to click in the white space to the right to unambiguously put in a search string.
