Well, there are. Just not in Lenny - yet.

It is actually fairly likely because not all projects follow
that strict a bugfix-only policy. 

Also, once released Lenny *can* be updated, sort of. There
will likely be Lenny.5 and there is always backports.org.

Of course, Joe User will not know how to edit sources.lst
which is why there should be options like "activate
backports" in the user interfaces upwards from aptitude.
