I am a physician and medical informaticist. I am currently one of the HL7
Patient care co-chairs, and am the creator of opencdr.org, which I am
beginning
to start work on.
OpenCDR will be a data warehouse system which will use Detailed Clinical
Models--a joint effort of HL7 and OpenEHR to provide implementation agnostic
patterns of expression of clinical content. The role of OpenCDR is to provide
an EHR neutral platform for long term storage of clinical data in a manner
suitable for multiple secondary uses, such as for clinical research.
I would like to invite your participation in the detailed clinical models
process. This would provide robust data element definitions of arbitrary
complexity using standard terminologies. Initially, this will be based upon
SNOMED-CT, but we are discussing the feasibility of using other reference
terminologies in the future.
In addition, I would like to know if there is documentation about GNU Meds
information model.
Regards,
Kevin Coonan, MD
