Best answered by Eric a few posts ago but, for the record, none of what you or
Sebastian offered in terms of quoting worked, because the
open -a
command requires the application name unquoted all by itself. And, if I try to
call the app directly for example after
cd /Applications
FreeDiams.app
gives the complaint "no command found" which is explained by Eric's answer. On
Mac, what appears to be a GUI application is not one file but a "package"
containing e.g. the actual executables plus other resources.
