- Use a less troubling distribution.

- Lobby Mandriva to re-think their decision and have them propose
  what - fundamentally - should be done in this situation until then.

- Use a dedicated cluster.

- Install a lesser version of PostgreSQL which will not check
  for the incompatibility :-)
