you will need lovely-json as previously mentioned; do a git pull on
multitaskhttpd because i fixed some issues where cookies weren't being added
to JSONRPC Service responses.

this still leaves the persistent database access as an issue.

a temporary fix would be to store the username/pass credentials in the
client app (of the multitaskhttpd) and to logout and log back in again.  i
think i will do that for now because it is far, far easier.
