maybe the above -- when the EMR tree is selected and the right-pane option view 
is "Journal" can the display area instead of my original suggestion (line 
above) say

        Journal view not applicable to EMR tree

… or can we do better and present, in the Journal option (when the EMR tree 
handle is selected) the same or reformatted content as shows in the (separate) 
"EMR Journal" plug-in? Or do the software tools enforce fewer options on what 
the

        left pane tree selection / right pane view "Overview" vs "Journal"

interaction behaviour can be?
