What we can do is not set the minimum Y size of any windows
above 768 pixels. That may make vertical scrollbars appear
in cases where one would not expect so.

Apparently, neither GNOME nor KDE can be fully trusted to
ignore minimum sizes when the display isn't up to it.

So, one can pick the lesser evil.
