patient's family history record of diabetes in mother
        record needs to specify that the condition is diabetes
        record should include a link (fk which may be null) to his actual mother
                she may not yet exist in GNUmed
                she is not required to exist
                therefore it is possible to leave it null
        record could optionally include mother's age at diabetes onset
                however once the mother exists and was linked
                --> it could be possible to push this from the mother's record
        record could allow a field to store the type of relationship
                mother
                (or would it be mother of a son)

also not sure where this fits with Adrian's approach
