How is the proposal to delete those "which are not in use" affected when a drug
in

        clin.substance_intake

is no longer currently in use, but it *was* previously in use, and lives now in
the audit table

        log_substance_intake

?? is it maybe safe to remove (from the reference tables) those substances or
brands which are no longer *currently* in use, on account of the audit system
extending to more than just clinical records but also including some reference
tables e.g.

        ref.consumable_substance --> log_consumable_substance

also, what is the source of records which (upon alteration) go into the
following, or is the following redundant to log_substance_intake

        log_consumed_substance

??
