Looks like for the following behavior.
When starting a fresh instance of the login window and connecting to the
public db it works.
When however starting a fresh login window, then trying to connect to the
local database (which fails) and then switching profiles to connect to the
puclic database this connection fails with the identical (hash) message.
Is there some caching going on ?
