When taking a bootstrapped GNUmed database and wishing to clean out sample data
in which the to-be-production site has no interest, TRUNCATE doubtless saves
time. Provided that the tables have no foreign-key references from other
tables, is there any reason (other than the inability to recover) NOT to use
truncate in place of
delete from
?
