There is a further way in which 'Approved of' may be used …
… suppose that a patient is on a medication prescribed by a specialist, however
it is a medication with which you may not have much experience and in fact you
may know little about it. WOuld you wish to list this as 'Approved of' or not
approved of. Where a patient has an in-praxis primary it is possible that the
clinicians could decide the flag is up to them to decide. Other praxi may use
it to mean
- a drug / substance for which someone in the praxis initiated therapy or has
taken over the responsibility for therapy
or
- prescribed by (or under the advice of) a clinician that we believe or expect
is clinically knowledgeable or safe
