Presently the label in the allergy editor says
Allergy Noted
and the tooltip suggests to base the entry on 'when was this known about
(normally today).
This contrasts with the use of clin_when in most if not all of the other tables
- health issue
- hospitalizations
- procedures
- family history item
- test results
where the usage is to capture the bio-clinical reality.
When something was known about could be handled as either the datetime of entry
(when entered in real time) or -- in the case of a post-dated entry -- by
nesting the entry under a late-entry encounter in which one inputs the datetime
when that *encounter* occurred.
Imagine you chose to transfer some important entries from a paper chart into
GNUmed, where the patient experienced a reaction November 1 and obtained care
on November 12th but now -- say December 1 -- you are putting this into GNUmed.
You can create an encounter
in praxis
started November 12
and in the Allergy editor input
Trigger = foo
Onset (if known) = November 1
and this can serve to document when it was known about (Nov 12) despite that
the datetime stamp on this entry would be *December 1*.
Can we change
Date Noted
to
Onset (if known)
with a corresponding change to the tooltip?
??
