It is a single constraint, intended to be applied (added) once to each of the 
two queries that I had provided.

The reason that it appears twice above is because in one case, my original 
query contained no where clause (hence the 'where' is included above), whereas 
in the other case a where clause had already been part of the query and I only 
intended above that the 'and …' be added.

In retrospect, it might have been simpler if I had reposted the queries, sorry 
for complicating.
