[Gnumed-devel] GNUmed 1.1.8 maintenance release

Hello all,

I am glad to be able to announce the immediate availability
of the GNUmed 1.1.8 Maintenance Release. It features the
following bug fixes and minor improvements:

Changelog:

 FIX: exception on accessing diagnostic certainty phrasewheel [thanks J.Busser]
 FIX: cannot pack with pyInstaller due to pubsub v1 API [thanks S.Hilbert]

 IMPROVED: try robustifying wx.lib.pubsub listener facing pyInstaller damage 
[thanks MM]
 IMPROVED: make opening URLs work better with Python 2.6 [thanks MM]
 IMPROVED: detection of connection loss
 IMPROVED: tarball generation regarding the GNUmed manual

Client installation:

 Easily installable packages for your platform of choice
 will be available shortly.

 Meanwhile you can run the client from a downloaded tarball
 or use the net based client installer:

 which you need to download, make executable, and run.

Database installation / upgrade:

 Note that this release, as usual, does NOT require a
 database upgrade. However, fixes to the database may
 have been provided which you can (and should) install
 with either

        $> gm-fixup_server 16

 or

        $> cd .../server/bootstrap/
        $> ./fixup-db.sh 16
