[Gnumed-devel] Gnumed HL7 Setup

Hi,

 

I am a Software developer working in a organization in India called
"Relay Strategy".

 

We are developing a application for one of our clients in USA  who
suggested us to use "Gnumed" in our application.

 

Below is the scenario which we are trying to achieve.

 

We have set up the EMR on my machine(Linux) having the versions .

Gnumed client version 1.21

Gnumed DB version Gnumed_v17

 

We are inserting the patient name and date of birth to the EMR using
the HL7 message through Mirth.

 

Now as per our requirement we want to check the if the particular
patient we want to search exists in EMR or not.

 

Can you please let us know which HL7 message does EMR accepts for
Querying the patient? Does it accept QRY messages?

 

Can you please provide us the details what is the point/method  of
communication(IP/Port) and how can i set it in  Gnumed?

 

How does Gnumed respond to query patient HL7 messages?

 

Does Gnumed provide automatic acknowledgement or do we need to set it
at any point?

 

Do we need to set the destination point in Gnumed?
