Ah, ok, I was thinking "do not include // in your LaTex form" because I wrongly 
was thinking about *that* (the form) as a 'template' for generating letters, 
which I suppose it is, except that such use conflicts with what you are meaning 
to be understood as a template *within* placeholders.
