you might like to be interested in Debian Popcon stats:

    http://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=gnumed-client

If you are using Debian or some derivative you should answer "yes" in

    sudo dpkg-reconfigure popularity-contest

if you want to contribute to the statistics.
