Ah, thanks, I was originally unable to see through the obstructing popped-open 
menu to find the sort options, which I did not appreciate (in German) *were* 
the Sort items.

But I still prefer the radio buttons because they involve just a single click 
and make visually apparent (without going into the menu) what the options 
actually are.
