Hello all,

I am glad to be able to announce the immediate availability
of the GNUmed 1.6.15 Maintenance Release. It features the
following bug fixes and minor improvements.


A large part of the focus is compatibility with PostgreSQL
10. If you intend to upgrade your PostgreSQL installation be
sure to

        a) apply the latest GNUmed database fixups (see below)
        b) drop all old GNUmed databases you don't need anymore

*before* attempting the cluster upgrade.

        FIX: exception on tooltipping patient overview inbox item
        FIX: exception in cursor/connection state logging w/ older psycopg2's
        FIX: exception on import error inside portable app

        IMPROVED: use Dicom[RequestingPhysician] if available
        IMPROVED: user visible rendering of raw DICOM strings
        IMPROVED: baptize SCRAM for PG passwords in settings check

                21.15

        FIX: handle SQL_INHERITANCE in a way compatible with PG10
        FIX: untyped UNIONs not tolerated by PG10 anymore
        FIX: RETURNS UNKNOWN functions not tolerated by PG10 anymore

        IMPROVED: script to adjust db settings

Client installation:

 Easily installable packages for your platform of choice
 will be available shortly.

 Meanwhile you can run the client from a downloaded tarball
 or use the net based client installer:

 which you need to download, make executable, and run.

Database installation / upgrade:

 Note that this release, as usual, does NOT require a
 database upgrade. However, fixes to the database have
 been provided which you can should install with either

        $> gm-fixup_server 21

 or

        $> cd .../server/bootstrap/
        $> ./fixup-db.sh 21
