I installed the latest CVS code and the warnings still appeared, though they moved to line 396. However, it listed the files causing the problems. When I looked at those files, I noticed that they all had accented letters and/or nonstandard apostrophes in their names. When I corrected them, gnump3d-index completed without any warnings.

PS- I also get the "main::sanitizePath() called too early to check prototype" errors as mentioned by "C. Menge" but since they don't appear to affect anything, I'm not worrying about them.

This only happens if the stat() call fails due to some reason.  Now why
it may be failing is a good question...

Is it a symlink?

Oddly enough, we have two back-to-back stats going on here.  I just
fixed that, and added in a debug message if the stat() call fails.

So give current CVS a whirl, and let us know how it goes.
