[Gnump3d-users] Can't start gnump3d in Mac OS X

I've followed the instructions for making a gnump3d startup item in
Mac OS X, but it doesn't seem to work. When I run the command "sudo
SystemStarter start gnump3d" I get no feedback or error message or
anything, but when I go to localhost:8888 in my browser i get
"connection refused". OS X's firewall is turned off, so that's not
what's blocking the connection. Thanks in advance for any help.
