Subject: [GNUnet-developers] search query stats

I have some stats http://people.debian.org/~bug1/gnunet/stats/

queueing_query.log.A was produced with the following commands.
# cat /var/log/gnunetd.log | grep "queueing query" | cut -d ' ' -f 12 |
sort | uniq -c | sort -r

received_query.log.A was produced with
# cat /var/log/gnunetd.log | grep "received query" | cut -d ' ' -f 8 |
sort | uniq -c | sort -r

stats.log.A is the output of gnunet-stats.

Summary.

I ran the node for an hour and didnt initiate any queries myself.

# p2p queries sent : 1733
# p2p queries received : 6679

Of the 6679 queries recieved there were 92 uniq queries, the top 5
queries were

  Count Search Hash
    232 A5059C4E94D85D83D8FD52B7633A9B8EA9F17833
    193 94AC44042EFD0F9229BEFED624211D4A7C0FC15D
    185 83D45AC730B8D62CA20D4636A2C706445AB7E593
    172 198F6C29593E398ACE6593E785D750F9FA6C142B
    168 7F000D2384ED9ADC897ABDC4DDFCC38E5C2D9E8F

The top 5 made up 14% of all queries recieved, the average query being
recieved 72 times.

With the test im trying to determine if search request have taken on a
life of their own, or how long a search remains active for.

It may be usefull if someone else does a similar test to compare from
different viewpoints.
