Well, the libgcrypt people never released a version that would work with
GNUnet (we are compatible with some obscure CVS version and are currently
waiting for them to _really_ finalize their APIs before we try matching their
code again). So either user OpenSSL or the patch that was mentioned in the
bugnote.
