Just as an aside, there are many IoT applications that currently depend
on over sharing personal data. Any application that builds models from
its user base's data, so anything from health monitors like fitbit
obviously, but even refrigerators, etc. There are folks doing research
round privacy preserving statistics, etc., although the results I
noticed recently were mostly negative. It worth keeping an eye on that
stuff though, even if it runs on the router, phone ,etc., not the IoT
device.
