yes - this was my mistake - I apologize.

about how to do, in general I tend to think that without branches is
simpler.

a more balanced opinion would be that it depends on how long we freeze.

if we freeze 0.7.0 for, say, a week, then we can probably make without a
different branch - and just we agree that for that week, we try to do only
bug fixing, and don't commit stuff which could break our little pet.

if we freeze 0.7.0 for longer (say, a month), then we probably need a
different branch for 0.7.0.


my gui activity in the next couple of weeks is going to be mainly bug
fixing.  the only new thing I'd like to implement (not sure I'll have time
to) is the mouse wheel support (someone on the list complained about this
being missing) - but I need to buy a mouse with a mouse wheel first :-)
