Hi,

There were many talks about 1.0 release of GNUstep. Many of participants
argued, that the GNUstep is not ready for the 1.0 release. Can someone
who know the internals say, what exactly is needed for the release?

Sorry to sound very stupid, but I have a few basic problems.

What is GNUstep 1.0 ?

Based on the FAQ, "GNUstep is the Free Software Foundation's effort to implement [...] OpenStep Standard."

Mmm. As a user, what am I expecting ?

The libraries ?

The libraries + the development applications ?

The libraries + the developement applications + some user applications ?

When installing OPENSTEP Enterprise on windows, you end up with PB, IB, FileMerge, TextEdit, Mail and the documentaiton.

So, excuse me for such dumb question, but what would be the scope of a 1.0 release, in term of deliverables ?

Cheers,
