I'm going to be integrating the next step of PathUtilities changes we've 
discussed.

Also, I'm planning to propose a change so that NSSearchPath() only supports 
NSxxxDirectory and add GSSearchPath which supports the additional 
GSxxxDirectory specifiers. This would make writing portable code much easier.

Perhaps we should be managing a stable branch while moving HEAD to the new 
binary incompatible release?
