Checking out modules/core

I'm getting this error when checking out from svn:

stefan-test:/usr/src# svn co svn://svn.gna.org/svn/gnustep/modules/core

Fetching external item into 'core/gui'
svn: OPTIONS of 'http://svn.gna.org/svn/gnustep/libs/gui/trunk': could not connect to server (http://svn.gna.org)

Shouldn't that be "svn://svn.gna.org"?
