Sorry this was my fault. I thought about adding a check here, but failed to find a reverence in cairo.h to the version that started to support this operator and then I forgot about this issue. Should be fixed in SVN now, but a switch to cairo 1.10 is still a good idea.

here r the packages u need to install if u r using Ubuntu:

sudo aptitude -y install libx11-dev libxt-dev libxtst-dev libcairo2-dev
liblcms1-dev
