Graham,

Gitlab will be our ultimate solution and master repo.  I will set up an instance on AWS of gitlab so that we can start hosting there.  I wanted to use github in the interim since it's less work for me in the short term.

I would simply like to get off of gna post haste.

I would prefer to use a Free service than the proprietary github (which yes is based on git, and yes git is free software, but still). Is there hosting available from the FSF for a git repo, or funding to e.g. host a gitlab or kallithea instance somewhere?
I'd gladly contribute financially to e.g. cloud hosting for a free solution, on the guess that our traffic/cpu needs are not too high.
Cheers,Graham.

I just successfully rsynced everything to my local machine.  I will start
tonight putting everything into git.   The question still is where do we
go?  Do we make the mirror on github the official hosting for GNUstep?
