DING DING DING!  We have a winner.  That is exactly the kind of thing that
was needed here.  *Exactly!*  I suspect I would not have been able to 
write it better myself even given 100% domain knowledge.

I may have more questions later, but this is a huge step towards getting
the HOWTO content done.
