I have built gpsd git as of
commit 3990da195110459e208e794af2398e10b33d35b1
Author: Eric S. Raymond <address@hidden>
Date: Tue Oct 29 08:43:10 2013 -0400
on NetBSD 5_STABLE i386, with only the ncurses issue reported earlier.
I live-tested with a shiny new GR301-U (thanks to Gary for doing the
bulk buy and redistribution!), and it works - xgps shows WAAS PRN 135
and 138 (at the same time!), and all else looks ok (no PPS due to netbsd
support issues). Time to ntpd seems close (VZ FIOS has some apparently
wonky asymmetric delays, which are about VZ peering rather than the FIOS
itself, AFAICT).
But, I noticed:
1456 nobody 39 -10 7828K 2484K CPU/1 215:08 99.02% 99.02% gpsd
on one system, and
19758 nobody 37 -10 33M 2692K CPU/0 21:37 98.00% 98.00% gpsd
on another. This is just watching the ublox and passing time to ntpd.
Is anyone else seeing this?
- [gpsd-dev] 100% cpu usage?,
